Overview

The GM Retail Operating System (ROS) is a set of "best practices" to be used as a reference guide for wholesale and dealership personnel. ROS provides consistent processes and enabling resources to better meet and exceed customer expectations, develop customer loyalty, and maximize vehicle sales.

Specifically, ROS is an operating system that:

• Defines the functions performed in a GM dealership
• Provides a logical sequencing of those functions
• Defines the resources required to perform the functions
• Includes documented operating procedures
